Reflexology Course Description

The program consists of lecture, exchange massage sessions, group evaluation, video presentations, professional massage sessions and exams. Students will learn how to apply basic reflexology treatments with foundation layouts & guided practical sessions. The course teaches the main concept of Reflexology, in which points in the hands and feet are mapped and correspond to organs, glands and other parts of the body. These reflex points are then manipulated to effect and enhance the health & well being of the receiver.

The student will gain hands-on experience working with other students as well as paying clients. You will learn through practical experience the appropriate methods of insertion, conditions for pre and post treatment, sanitation, and pain management for your client. 175 , 300 clock hours courses are also offered as refresher and intermediate under this program. The 600 clock hours or 31 credit hours, course also prepares the students to take the Maryland Electrolysis Board exam.Certified practitioner broaden their basic skills as a esthetician or massage therapist / body worker, and enables them to confront the problems they have in their experiences in the industry. In addition, it introduces them to the modality of Reflexology which applies the theory of how various points in the foot correspond to organs, glands & other parts of the body as well as how to manipulate them to create health and well being. The participant will be able to discuss and explain the benefits of this modality to their client.
